The low prices came with house rules that became part of the legend: no shopping bags, no carts, and no credit cards for most of the store's life. But nobody remembers Spag's as a list of policies. They remember The Ramp, Door 10, tomato-plant giveaways, the Christmas Shop, the cowboy hat, the first job, the item nobody else carried, and the ritual of bringing your own boxes home.
